- Per German media reports, Schalke holds a permanent purchase option for 3 million euros , and the German club will pay Hwang's full salary for the season through June 30 next year.
- Schalke director of professional football Youri Mulder stated, 'In Hwang Hee-chan, we have bolstered our attacking options,' while Hwang said he is a 'good fit for the team.'
- The forward remains under contract with Wolves until the end of the 2027/28 season, including an option for a further 12 months, after netting a Premier League-high 12 goals in 29 matches during the 2023-2024 campaign.
