Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar has warned that the country could move to unilaterally annex settlements in the occupied West Bank and the Jordan Valley if key international powers, such as the United Kingdom and France, recognise a Palestinian state. Dermer made these statements in response to a potential international recognition of the Palestinian State at the New York Summit, which will be co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia on the next 18 June, according to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz.
