Twenty-five years after the 9/11 attacks, prominent officials and victim families displayed blatant Islamophobia by attempting to bar New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani from memorial ceremonies. The refusal to examine unbridled foreign violence, ethnic cleansing support, and historical context shows to what extent we have failed to learn lessons, reverting instead to destructive bigotry that invites ongoing global retaliation.
