Despite losing two lawsuits, Soner Atasoy announced on Monday that he will nevertheless open an Islamic secondary school in Gouda. He has secured a location in the mosque without the municipality's involvement and has an unorthodox plan to recruit new students: they will receive a fatbike or a laptop.
The Islamic secondary school Novum Saeculum Lyceum plans to start teaching in Gouda on Monday, even though the municipality is not making a school building available.
