Is ‘Murder in a Small Town’ Coming Back for Season 3? Here’s What We Know So Far

Fox has not yet renewed Murder in a Small Town for Season 3, but there is reason to hope for more.
The ratings for Season 2 averaged 2.2 million viewers per episode, which is an 11% increase over Season 1, which averaged 1.97 million viewers and was renewed.
Executive Producer Jeff Wachtel mentioned that Season 3 would explore themes of family and inclusion, stating, "One of the things that we’ve talked about is building a family, and the notion of inclusion, and also how inclusion is messy, right?"
Wachtel stated that Season 2 lays the groundwork for exploring Karl's feelings of abandonment and its impact on his adult relationships.
