According to a NASA study, the Earth would lose all of its atmospheric oxygen. Such a scenario would happen in about a billion years, according to the space agency.However, the first effects of that phenomenon would appear in 10,000 years. The reason why the lack of oxygen on our planet would occur would have to do with the progressive increase of solar luminosity.
