The past years have already shown a sharper trend towards more heat in Germany. In a new projection, the Deutsche Wetterdienst now determines that this will particularly affect the south and east. The once-aspired 1.5-degree target will be significantly exceeded by 2100.

According to calculations by meteorologists, heat waves will increase by the end of the century - especially in eastern and southern Germany. Other regions expect significantly more precipitation.
