Iran warns US against renewed attack, says it has ‘unfinished jobs’ too
Iran’s foreign minister warned Washington against a new military clash and accused Benjamin Netanyahu of pushing the United States into war for political survival.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned Washington against military confrontation on Sunday, accusing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of pushing the United States into war for political survival.
President Trump posted that unless Tehran "change their ways, rapidly, we will soon finish the job," while endorsing Netanyahu as a "Great Warrior Prime Minister" ahead of Israel's October 27 parliamentary election.
Araghchi claimed Netanyahu is "driving America into another war to stay out of jail," and asserted that when the United States previously attempted to "finish the job," Iran emerged even stronger.
Recent polls by Maariv and KAN News show Netanyahu's Likud party tied at about 51 seats with the opposition, with neither coalition securing the 61-seat majority required in the Israeli Knesset.
Escalating brinkmanship between Washington and Tehran complicates diplomatic off-ramps, as the rhetoric shifts the narrative from security policy to personal political survival ahead of the October 27 vote.
