The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has warned in a statement that it will deprive the U.S. and its partners "of oil and gas in the region for years." It has also sent a message to the "regional partners" of the U.S., that is, the allied Arab countries of Washington: "To this day we have exercised restraint for good neighbourliness and have had consideration when choosing our objectives, but all these considerations no longer exist."
