Iowa to receive $5.4 million as part of multi-state opioid settlement

ILLINOIS, JUL 11 – Illinois will receive over $23 million from a $720 million nationwide settlement with eight opioid manufacturers accused of worsening the opioid crisis, officials said.

Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird has helped Iowa secure a $5.4 million payout as part of a national effort to curtail opioid manufacturers.
