An investigation is underway after central Iowa authorities say someone attempted to demolish their vacant home by setting it on fire.

POCOMOKE, Md. – The Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a house fire that broke out early Tuesday morning. The fire was reported just before 12:30 a.m. and involved a 2-story home in the area of Maple Street and 2nd Street. The blaze was upgraded to two alarms, and neighboring homes were evacuated.
