There was a reported shooting on Main St. in Jeanerette Feb. 7 as well as reports of a separate incident with a child and a float.

Shots fired at Jeanerette Mardi Gras parade, one person in custody

Shots were fired at the Mardi Gras parade in Jeanerette Saturday afternoon.According to Jeanerette Police Department's chief Terrence Moore, no one was injured in the incident.
