Scientists at the Goethe University Frankfurt have advocated a more intensive hunt for raccoons in sensitive areas in Germany.
Up to two million raccoons now live in Germany. Too many, say experts and want to go through harder. The robbers threaten native birds, amphibians and bats – and scavenger leads astray.
They look cute, but do great damage: researchers at the University of Frankfurt demand that raccoons be hunted much more intensively. According to a recent study, the animals endanger birds, reptiles and amphibians - even in Hessian cities such as Kassel.
