Inter Faith Week 2026 launches with nationwide call to celebrate unity in diversity
The campaign includes 20 grassroots projects and hundreds of community events aimed at strengthening ties between faith and belief groups.
Inter Faith Week 2026 officially launched at the Nishkam Civic Association in Birmingham, with organisers calling on people across Britain to celebrate the country's rich diversity of faiths and beliefs through the theme 'Lighting the Way for a Shared Future'.
Alongside the national programme, Inter Faith Week has funded 20 grassroots projects across England through its microgrant scheme, supporting organisations using creative approaches to build connections across faith and cultural divides.
Carrie Alderton, Chief Executive Officer of the Belief Forum, said the microgrant winners "are from all over England, and from multiple different sectors and civic spaces," including projects by Manchester City Council and audio stories by Voice.
Eshalomi, Minister for Homelessness, Democracy, Communities and Faith, added, "At a time when global and local challenges affect us all, it is more crucial than ever to applaud the extraordinary inter faith work taking place in communities across the country."
Rabbi Charley Baginsky and Rabbi Josh Levy, Co-Leads of The Movement for Progressive Judaism, said the theme "resonates deeply with the Jewish value of tikkun olam: repairing the world," positioning Inter Faith Week as advancing broader community cohesion.
