Infant among 2 dead after fire rips through home in Ontario city
- A fire in Quinte West, Ont., resulted in the deaths of a one-year-old child and a 66-year-old woman on Thursday evening.
- Three other individuals escaped the fire, including a 64-year-old man and two children aged seven and nine, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
- The fire broke out just before 6:00 p.m. at a trailer park along Highway 2, and first responders found the trailer fully engulfed in flames.
- The Ontario Provincial Police, along with the Office of the Fire Marshal and the Office of the Chief Coroner, have initiated an investigation into the cause of the fire.
