The annual growth rate of consumer prices in the European Union accelerated to three percent in July from 2.9 percent in June, the statistical office Eurostat announced. In the Czech Republic, the annual inflation rate increased from 1.1 to 1.3 percent. The Czech Republic thus had the second lowest inflation rate in the EU in July.
