According to the Wage Losses Monitoring Report, workers' wages were eroded by inflation and tax burden in the first month of 2026. The loss in January alone amounted to at least 113 billion TL. DİSK (Confederation of Turkish Trade Unions) described the situation as "labor theft" and announced that they will be in the streets every month demanding justice in taxes and wages.
