Indiana gas sales tax to increase in May

Hoosiers will pay nearly 2 cents more in taxes at gasoline pumps in May. The state’s 7% sales tax applied on gasoline purchases will be 17.8 cents a gallon starting May 1, up by 10.7% from 15.9 cents a gallon in April.
