In visit to Capitol, Jessie Diggins and other Olympians push for climate change solutions
The athlete-led group is pressing bipartisan lawmakers to strengthen the Environmental Protection Agency after rollbacks to climate, air and water protections.
Olympian Jessie Diggins visited Capitol Hill with her four medals to advocate for clean air, clean water, and climate health causes.
Diggins expressed concern about climate change, saying, "I don’t want to stick my head in the sand and ignore the world burning."
Diggins called bringing her medals to Washington a "beautiful, full circle moment."
Advocates like Diggins and Brody Leven are appealing to legislators to support bipartisan, science-based environmental policies.
