Suspected Oldham drink-driver 'gouged' police officer in the eye

A suspected drink driver from Oldham gouged a police officer in the eye, during a struggle at the side of the road, heard Skipton Magistrates Court

Impaired driver arrested after assaulting police officer

On Monday afternoon, the RNC received several calls of an impaired driver in CBS. Officers located the vehicle at the registered owner’s address with the driver still inside the vehicle. The 34-year-old male was charged with refusal of a demand, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. He was held to appear in court in the morning.
