- Between June 14 and July 24, South Africa deported or repatriated 68,138 foreign nationals, while the Border Management Authority processed 72,906 repatriations at ports of entry since June 7.
- Dedicated immigration courts finalized 28,736 cases between April and June, with 46% heard in Gauteng; Justice and Constitutional Development Minister Mmamaloko Kubayi noted upgrades to the Lindela Repatriation Centre and Tambo International Airport are underway.
- Kubayi warned the public against vigilantism, stating only state authorities may enforce immigration laws and condemning groups impersonating Home Affairs officials conducting unlawful identity checks.
- The Inter-Ministerial Committee met with officials from Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni, and Tshwane on July 22 to address urban migration challenges, directing the National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure to develop a framework tackling hijacked buildings.
