Cédric Bakambu and some of his team-mates were received as heroes this Sunday in Kinshasa, despite the anger of their clubs demanding their return.
The Congolese internationals will take part in a ceremony organized by President Félix Tshisekedi, Sunday 5 April in Kinshasa, to celebrate the qualification of the Leopards at the 2026 World Cup. But these national celebrations started a controversy between the Fécofa and some European clubs such as Lille or Espanyol Barcelona, which were waiting for their players to return this weekend.
