A nearly 14-foot adult great white shark, the largest male ever to be tagged in the Atlantic – Contender, has “pinged” from the northern areas of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, off Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada, last week according to tracking data by OCEARCH.
According to scientists from the OCEARCH research group, the largest white shark ever recorded has been spotted in the Atlantic Ocean. Earlier this year, they microchipped the animal for tracking purposes.
