Caroline Elliott confirms run for B.C. Conservative leadership

On Jan. 13, 2026, Caroline Elliott confirmed she will run for leader of the British Columbia Conservative Party in Vancouver, The Canadian Press reported.
After John Rustad resigned last month, the open leadership contest includes declared candidates Sheldon Clare, Yuri Fulmer and Warren Hamm, while Darrell Jones, Harman Bhangu and Peter Milobar consider runs.
Campaign manager Kory Teneycke said on the Curse of Politics podcast he will move to Vancouver to manage Elliott's campaign and previously served Stephen Harper and Premier Doug Ford.
Elliott says her message is to represent `change this party and province needs` with support from an exceptional team and aims to `defeat the NDP`.
Elliott, who said she will reveal more soon, looks forward to announcing her vision `very soon`, The Canadian Press report by Brieanna Charlebois states.
