Minister of Labour, social Democrat Florin Manole, has recently reviewed progressive taxation, as a solution for "a more equitable tax system", in the context of large tax increases, since the increase in property taxes has particularly affected Romanians with small income. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan said on Tuesday that there has been no discussion of progressive taxation in the coalition in recent months. He explained that this formula requires at least a year, a year and a half of changes in the financial system to be applied.
