May 07, (THEWILL) – Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have apprehended two high-profile fugitives wanted by international authorities for human trafficking and armed robbery. The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, on Wednesday, announced the arrest of one Felix Omoregie, also known as “Eghosa Johnson Omoregie”, suspected to be the ringleader of a human trafficking syndicate declared wanted by Belgian authorities on December 19, 2023. Felix Omoregie, a Nigerian human trafficker who has been on Europol's Most Wanted list since 2023, has been arrested in Benin City, Nigeria. The Nigerian police reported this on Wednesday. Omoregie was sentenced to twelve years in prison in our country in 2021, but fled to his home country to avoid his sentence. Among other things, he forced African girls to prostitute themselves here.
