Fast Forever’s Paul Walker Return Could Stir Controversy, His Brother Reveals
Cody Walker says AI could handle Brian O'Conner’s return and that he will not take part in the final Fast & Furious film.
- Cody Walker confirmed yesterday he will not participate in the final Fast film, Fast Forever, declining to assist in bringing his brother Paul Walker's character, Brian, back to life.
- When Paul died during production of Furious 7, Cody and his brother Caleb served as digital stand-ins, allowing filmmakers to retire Brian's character on-screen rather than killing him off.
- "I would not be interested in doing that again," Cody told Entertainment Weekly, adding he believes creators do not need him or Caleb to involve Brian.
- Despite Vin Diesel's repeated teases that Brian will return, Cody's refusal creates an obstacle for the production, scheduled for March 17, 2028 release.
- Fast Forever is planned as the final installment of the franchise, with production beginning this December and aiming to bring back nearly every other character.
