CLEANING WORKERS gathered after the decision of the Zagreb County Court, which declared the strike of Zagreb Holding workers illegal and banned its further implementation.
The president of the Union of Municipal Workers and Drivers of Čistoća, Mumin Hodžić, announced on Wednesday that, after two and a half days of strike, workers at Zagreb Holding are returning to work, but also confirmed that they will appeal the County Court's decision that the strike at the Holding is illegal.
We call on all members to end the strike and immediately return to their workplaces and continue with their regular work, the Croatian Union of Public Utilities and Transport Workers called on its members in a statement.
The responsibility for this strike lies with the union leaders, a lot of damage has been done and I call on the union leaders and workers to abandon the illegal strike.
Zagreb Holding will continue to improve working conditions and raise workers' material rights. We were ready to do this even before the strike, said Ivan Novaković
