President Daniel Noboa is committed to a set of reforms to reactivate 12 non-conventional renewable energy (RNC) projects that have been paralysed for years. With the publication of Executive Decree 32, on June 18, 2025, the Government amended the General Regulations to the Organic Law of the Public Energy Service.
Jaramillo explained that the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Energy and Mines managed a $77 million liquidity guarantee with the IDB.
