LATAH COUNTY, IDAHO, JUL 25 – Bryan Kohberger received four consecutive life sentences without parole for the murders of four students, with victims' families delivering emotional impact statements at the hearing.
- Bryan Kohberger was sentenced on July 23, 2025, to four consecutive life terms for murdering four University of Idaho students in November 2022 in Moscow, Idaho.
- In early July 2025, Kohberger accepted a plea agreement in which he admitted guilt to murdering four individuals and committing burglary, while also relinquishing his rights to appeal and request a reduced sentence.
- The victims—University of Idaho students who lived together off campus—were fatally stabbed at their residence. The suspect, Kohberger, was identified through forensic evidence from a knife sheath, as well as phone data and surveillance recordings of his vehicle.
- Victim impact statements, including a powerful one by Kaylee Goncalves' sister Alivea, called Kohberger “pathetic” and said, “Kaylee would have kicked your f------ a--,” highlighting the victims' families' grief and anger.
