Ida (Barnett) Carmack, 89, of Kokomo, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 17, 2026. She was born on July 7, 1936, in Middlesboro, Kentucky to Walter and Dora Alice (Owens) Barnett. She was the oldest of ten children. In 1952, Ida moved to Kokomo, Indiana to start a new life as a childcare giver. She was married in 1955, and by 1962 had delivered three sons into the world.
