The US government announced a new tariff plan on Thursday evening, just hours before a deadline set by US President Donald Trump for foreign countries to agree to trade deals expired. Under the plan, a minimum tariff of 10 percent will be imposed on imports from all countries with which the US has a positive trade balance.
