Tuesday 28 April 2026 opens in Reims the trial of two surgeons prosecuted for manslaughter after the death of Corentin Jeras, 11 years old, on 2 November 2014 at the CHRU in Nancy. Undoubtedly the judicial epilogue of a long fight for the parents of the child.
The two surgeons who operated the young Corentin in Metz (Moselle) are being tried this Tuesday at the Reims Correctional Court (Champagne-Ardenne). The 11-year-old boy died on 2 November 2014 as a result of an appendicitis operation. His aorta has been perforated and his diagnosis misapplied.
