Poland "Cannot Guarantee" Putin Would Not Be Arrested if He Flies Through Polish Airspace to Hungary
Poland may detain Putin under an International Criminal Court warrant if he flies through its airspace to a proposed meeting with Donald Trump in Budapest, Poland's foreign minister said.
- Radosław Sikorski, Poland's foreign minister, told Radio Rodzina that he cannot guarantee Vladimir Putin's plane would not be forced down and the president detained under an ICC warrant.
- An ICC arrest warrant issued in March 2023 explains the travel issue after Donald Trump said last week that Putin and he may meet in Budapest, Hungary, which is withdrawing from the ICC.
