Hydro One and ACT Foundation celebrate more than 25,000 students trained in lifesaving skills
- On June 7, 2025, the ACT Foundation and Hydro One marked the achievement of training over 25,000 students in CPR and AED skills during a celebration held at a high school in Lindsay.
- This milestone follows ACT’s ongoing commitment since 2000, supported by Hydro One’s long-term partnership and recent funding to expand opioid overdose response training across Ontario schools.
- The program equips students and teachers with lifesaving skills, including CPR, AED use, opioid overdose recognition, and nasal Naloxone administration to improve community safety.
- More than 10% of local participants have received opioid overdose response training; ACT targets nearly 80% of Ontario high schools for this training by year-end 2025.
- Hydro One’s continued investment and ACT’s education efforts strengthen emergency preparedness in schools, indicating a safer region and enhanced youth leadership in lifesaving response.
