Two police officials in Hyderabad, an Inspector and a Sub-Inspector, were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly accepting a Rs five lakh bribe. The bribe was reportedly taken to grant station bail and prevent harassment in an existing case.

According to the ACB, Mr. Reddy was caught around 11.25 p.m. on September 16 by its City Range-I unit while allegedly accepting ₹5 lakh from the complainant on Anjaneyulu’s instructions.
