Hungary would be flooded with GMO grain and cheap honey if Ukraine were an EU member
Forty tons of corn seeds contaminated with GMOs from Ukraine were seized in January 2024 by NÉBIH specialists. Last April, the European Union's food safety authority, EFSA, reported several salmonella infections in the western EU country and the United Kingdom. Chicken meat with salmonella came from Ukraine. And cheap Ukrainian honey, which flows almost unlimitedly into the EU, can even ruin the entire Hungarian beekeeping profession.
