Huge stars confirmed for third series of BBC’s BAFTA award-winning drama
David Tennant leads new cast additions as the BAFTA-winning drama returns with a prison tragedy and two teenage offenders at the center of the story.
David Tennant has joined the cast of Time Series 3, set in a Youth Offenders Institution and scheduled for BBC One later this year, alongside returning star Siobhan Finneran.
Following Series 1's 2021 launch with Stephen Graham and Sean Bean, and Series 2's focus on a women's prison, this installment examines the impact of incarceration on both prisoners and staff at the YOI.
Tennant plays veteran custodial manager Bobby Bailey, while Finneran returns as chaplain Marie-Louise O'Dell. Warren Brown, Daniel Ryan, Jo Joyner, and Vinette Robinson round out the ensemble.
A prison tragedy will force a clash between Marie-Louise, who has lost her faith, and Bailey, who knows more about the incident than he reveals. Teenage offenders Peter and James form an unlikely friendship during incarceration.
Filmed in Belfast, the drama is scheduled for release on BBC One and BBC iPlayer later this year, though no official premiere date has been confirmed yet.
