The Ministry of Finance has become more interested in the hundreds of billions lying in the bank accounts of cities and municipalities. The head of the state treasury, Alena Schillerová (ANO), wants the management of local governments to have a significant part of their free money deposited with the Czech National Bank (ČNB). The Association of Cities and Municipalities is warning the Ministry of Finance against similar plans.
