Authorities have successfully rescued the cargo ship STAR CITY, with a tonnage of over 24,157 tons, and its 17 crew members, which ran aground due to bad weather in the Binh An sea area - Chan May Bay (Hue City).
(Dai Tri) - A cargo ship ran aground in the Binh An Sea area, about 1.3 nautical miles from the edge of Chan May port (Hue city).
The cargo ship STAR CITY, along with 17 crew members, ran aground outside the Chan May shipping channel. Two tugboats were dispatched for rescue but had to turn back due to strong winds and rough seas, making it impossible to reach the distressed vessel.
A landslide occurred on National Highway 49, connecting the city center of Hue with the mountainous border communes of A Luoi, with a total volume of approximately 150 cubic meters of soil and rocks spilling onto the road.
