Epic Games settles lawsuit against Samsung over app controls
UNITED STATES, JUL 8 – The FTC is distributing over $126 million in refunds to nearly 970,000 Fortnite players for unauthorized purchases linked to deceptive tactics by Epic Games, officials said.
Epic Games has dismissed its lawsuit against Samsung following successful discussions, according to Epic CEO Tim Sweeney.
The lawsuit involved Samsung's Auto Blocker feature, which limited app installations outside the Google Play Store and Samsung Galaxy Store.
Epic Games had previously sued Google for alleged antitrust violations related to the Google Play Store.
