How the Ear Works

The ear is a very delicate organ. Three tiny bones receive the minute vibrations of the ear drum and intensify them so that the nerve endings can discern the variations in the sound that give us information about our environment. We can discern the difference between a machine and a voice, the difference between individual voices and even if a single voice is singing off key.
