How on Earth did this small bee get on an island in French Polynesia?

Summary by Ground News
Hylaeus tuamotuensis is a species new to science. It is found on the Viti Levu and Taveuni islands of Fiji. Hylaeus navai female is still only known from the females, but is named in honour of Navai Village and their long-term support of Fijian bee research.
