The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) has released its sectoral inflation expectations for September. While inflation expectations for 12 months ahead increased among market participants and households, expectations from the real sector decreased. A decline was also recorded in the percentage of households expecting inflation to fall in the next 12 months.
According to the Central Bank of Turkey's September 2026 Household Expectations Survey, gold has become the preferred investment for citizens. The percentage of those saying they would buy gold rose to 43%, while preference for houses or land decreased. The dollar exchange rate expectation also increased to 55.90 TL.
