Hottest day of the year to come as UK set to be warmer than Madrid
The UK is set to experience its warmest day of the year on March 8, with temperatures reaching up to 16C, as reported by the Met Office.
On March 8, the UK is forecasted to be warmer than Madrid, which is expected to have a high of 14C, according to GFS weather maps.
Alex Deakin from the Met Office stated, "High pressure is sitting in here, and that is going to bring in a lot of fine weather over the next few days."
Temperature increases mark a significant rise from-5C on March 5 in Aberdeenshire, highlighting the arrival of spring.
