Hottest day of the year to come as UK set to be warmer than Madrid
Leicester is expected to reach 16C on March 6, making it hotter than Madrid, which is forecast to be 13C with rainy showers, according to the Met Office.
By March 8, parts of the UK will reach 16C, surpassing Madrid's expected high of 14C, while Central and Southern England will see significant temperature increases.
Temperatures in Leicester are predicted to remain in double figures throughout most of Thursday, peaking at 16C around 3 PM, reported the Met Office.
