Horizon League moves championship games to Noblesville

The Horizon League will hold its second-round, semifinal, and championship basketball games at a modern 3,400-seat arena under a five-year agreement starting in 2027.

  • On Thursday, the Horizon League announced it will move its men's and women's basketball championships to The Arena at Innovation Mile in Noblesville, Indiana, starting in 2027. The five-year agreement runs through 2031.
  • Tournament finals had been hosted at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, known as the Corteva Coliseum, in Indianapolis since 2020. The new venue replaces that location after six years.
  • Opened in 2025, The Arena serves as home to the Noblesville Boom, the G-League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers. The facility features 3,400 fixed seats and can expand to more than 5,000 based on demand.
  • Horizon League Interim Commissioner Chris Neuman called it a "major move for our membership," while Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen said the selection puts the city on a "larger stage throughout the Midwest and beyond."
  • The 2027 tournament begins with second-round games on March 7, followed by semifinals on March 8 and championships on March 9. First-round games will continue at campus sites.
