At a fair Horizon Forbidden West was played in 8K and with 120 Fps. It could have been the first time that this combination was achieved.

During the last NAB 2025 (National Association of Broadcasters) show in Las Vegas, the 8K Association presented a world premiere in video game with 8K at 120 Hz via HDMI 2.1. Although this standard is normally limited to 8K at 60 Hz, the video stream compression (DSC) exceeded this limitation. The PC used was fully equipped with AMD hardware and operated Horizon Forbidden West.
