Several local high school soccer teams took part in the Bluegrass State Games over the weekend in Lexington. The Hopkinsville Tigers went 2-1 in the event with wins over Boone County and Bryan Station. Wayne County defeated the Tigers on Saturday’s finale. Hoptown Lady Tigers Close Strong at BGSG

Hopkinsville Lady Tigers coach Jeff Addison felt better after his team’s second loss on Saturday at the Bluegrass State Games in Lexington, thinking he had a good handle on a lineup to use for Sunday’s matchup with Louisville Holy Cross. The veteran coach proved to be prophetic as four players scored in a 6-0 win at the Woodford County Youth Complex.
