Honda associates in Alabama began production of the 2026 Honda Passport and Passport TrailSport, which are the most off-road capable Honda SUVs ever made, as celebrated by more than 4,500 associates.
The 2026 Passport features a 3.5-liter DOHC V-6 engine and off-road capabilities, including steel skid plates and heavy-duty recovery hooks, making it Honda's most rugged SUV to date.
The Honda Alabama Auto Plant has an annual production capacity of over 350,000 vehicles and has produced more than 6.5 million vehicles since 2001.
Lamar Whitaker, plant leader, stated that associates worked with "ingenuity and determination" to create Honda's most rugged SUV, the all-new 2026 Honda Passport.
