Township demands halt to radioactive rock transfer
Residents of both Nairn and Hyman and Baldwin Townships, along with other interested parties, have been fighting with the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Mines for almost a year regarding plans to transport 18,000 cubic metres of niobium radioactive materials to the Agnew Lake Tailings Management Area. Shipments are scheduled to start mid-August of this year.
